CEC Staff Biographies

Terese Brennan-Marquez, LCSW
Resilience Consultation Program Advisor and Consultant
Terese Brennan-Marquez received her B.S. from UC Berkeley and her M.S.W. from San Francisco State University. She has over ten years of experience in school social work, primarily in schools with high-risk populations. She worked as a school social worker at Belle Haven School in East Palo Alto and at Hoover and Taft Schools in Redwood City. Before becoming the Program Director at CEC, she worked as a Resilience Consultant for two years at Selby Lane School in Redwood City. In addition to her work with CEC, Terese has a private practice in Palo Alto providing clinical services to children, adults and families.
Judy Bulloch
Administrative Assistant
After attending nursing school and working as a nurse at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, Judy moved to West Coast where she continued her career in nursing. Judy transitioned away from nursing into roles that served her family and community. She was a on the La Honda school board and held several roles that made good use of her creative skills. Just as her children were graduating from high school, Judy became involved with the Cleo Eulau Center. She calls the CEC her “happy place.”
Chris Chiochios, MFT, ATR-BC
Resilience Consultant
Christopher Chiochios received a B.A. in Developmental Psychology and a minor in Child Development from Chico State University. He went on to receive his M.A. in Art Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont. He has over 13 years of experience working with youth, who are considered at-risk and have multi-dimensional and complex needs, as well as their families, who are often multi-stressed and struggling to cope in many areas of their lives. He has worked as a counselor, therapist, clinician, art therapist, and clinical supervisor to provide these services in a variety of settings, including public schools, special education/day treatment, foster care, residential treatment programs, and community-based/ wraparound programs. Currently, Chris is the Resilience Consultant at Beechwood School in Menlo Park. In addition to his work with CEC, Chris has a private practice in Palo Alto where he provides comprehensive and collaborative therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and their families.
Beverly Corriere
Administrative Director
Beverly received her MBA from the Lorry I Lokey Graduate School of Business, Mills College and
BA in Sociology from San Jose State University. Much of her previous work provided direct service to students for institutions of higher learning. This includes Stanford University’s Native American, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Program as student services specialist/interim assistant director and DeVry University as the assistant director of Student Finance. Beverly currently serves on the board of the Palo Alto Area Mills College Club and on the leadership team of her son’s cub scout pack.
Judith Gable, LCSW
Collaborative Counseling Program Director
Judith Gable received her BA from Raymond College (University of the Pacific) in 1977. She then attended Smith College School for Social Work, where she earned the degree of MSW in 1980 and LCSW in 1983. Her work experiences have been varied, including direct clinical work in community mental health, psychiatric and medical inpatient and outpatient settings. At the Cleo Eulau Center, Judith has been Program Director of the Court and Community Schools Collaborative Counseling Program since 1996, and was a resilience consultant and acting Program Director for the Resiliency Consultation Program in the past. Additionally, Judith has a private practice in Mountain View, California and facilitates medical and support groups at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
Lyra Ghose
Executive Director
Lyra Ghose has over 15 years of nonprofit management experience both in the United States and internationally. With a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Anthropology, Lyra has a strong Interest in and passion for learning about many different cultures. She got her start in Pakistan working for Save the Children and the International Rescue Committee. She spent seven years in Cleveland, Ohio, managing a nationally recognized student exchange organization called Adventures In Real Communication. As part of her work she traveled throughout the country and internationally, conducting workshops and trainings for potential students, families and school sites. Prior to joining the Cleo Eulau Center, Lyra worked as the Development Officer for Family Connections, a cooperative preschool program serving over 100 low-income families in the Ravenswood and Redwood City School Districts. Lyra has been with the Cleo Eulau Center since the fall of 2004 and has been in the role of Executive Director since February, 2006.
Jane Haddow, MFT, ATR
Resilience Program Consultant
Originally from South Africa, Jane moved to the United States in 1988. She earned her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Specialty in Art Therapy at Notre Dame de Namur. Jane has worked for the last 6 years at Community Health Awareness Council in Mountain View providing therapy for children in elementary, middle and high schools as well as working with adults and families. During this time she was also the Co-Director of the FIRST 5 Family Partner Grant Program. Jane maintains a private practice in Mountain View.
Jean Hamilton, MFT
Resilience Consultant and Community Liaison
Jean received a B.S. in American Literature from DePauw University in Greencastle Indiana, a M.A. from San Francisco State in Special Education, and a M. S. with a Special Major in Dance/ Movement Therapy and Clinical Counseling from Cal. State University, East Bay. She has been licensed for over twenty years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, has worked as a clinician at Family Service of the Mid-Peninsula, Miramonte Mental Health, and for Santa Clara County Mental Health. She has a private practice in Palo Alto where she sees adults, some children and adolescents and families. She has been a Resilience Consultant for eight years at Kennedy Middle School in Redwood City; was a Resilience Consultant at Edison-McNair in East Palo Alto, and currently serves on the East Palo Alto Mental Health Advisory Board. As the Community Liaison, she serves on the Redwood City 2020 Community Youth Development Initiative’s Steering Committee, is a member of the EPA College Access Network, and participates in the PAMF’ HEARD, which is a community health care alliance for response to adolescent depression.
Deb Kilner
Finance
Consultant
Deb Kilner is a consultant who provides finance director services to non-profits. She received her BA in economics from Yale University in 1980 and an MM in finance, accounting and strategic planning from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University in 1983. She was licensed as a CPA in California in 1986.
Tracy Lyons, MA
Resilience Consultant and Program Manager
Tracy Lyons earned her BFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her MA in Counseling Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. For the past 3 years Tracy has worked at Community Health Awareness Council in Mountain View as a Marriage and Family Therapist intern, providing therapy for children in elementary, middle and high schools as well as working with adults and families. Her work has included school based counseling at Santa Rita elementary school, Springer elementary school, and Mountain View high school. Additionally, she teaches Psychoeducation groups through the Blossom Project, a leadership group for pregnant and parenting teens. Tracy is the Resilience Consultant at Crittenden Middle School in Mountain View, as well as project manager for the Resilience Consultation Program.
Lisa Medoff
Resilience Program Consultant
Lisa holds a B.A in psychology from Rice University, an M.S.Ed. in school counseling from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. in child and adolescent development, with an emphasis on mental health for adolescents with special needs, from Stanford University. She works with as a resiliency consultant for Hawes Elementary School in Redwood City, as well as serving as a meta-coach for mentor teachers with the Social and Emotional Well-Being project through CEC’s partnership with the New Teacher Center. In addition to her job with the CEC, Lisa works with students who have learning disabilities and emotional disorders, consulting with families and schools to help them provide the optimal home and school environments for their children with special needs. Lisa has taught child & adolescent development and psychology courses to both undergraduates and teacher credential candidates at Stanford University, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University, and Foothill College. Lisa is the author of a weekly child psychology column for the website Education.com. Her books include the Stressed Out Students Guide To… series and Resilience in the Classroom: Helping Students With Special Needs.
Julie Norton, M.A.
Director of the Resilience Consultation Program
Julie earned MA from University of San Francisco in Counseling Psychology and has a BS in Communications. She joins CEC after a career in civic involvement as the Community Affairs Supervisor for Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, and Director of Outreach and Marketing for V-O-Cal, as well as a Marketing and Product Management at Intuit. Her responsibilities at CEC include the program development and management of the Resilience Consultation Program. Julie is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and her counseling experience includes work as an elementary and middle school counselor for Community Health Awareness Council, and as counselor providing support for teens, and adults suffering from complicated grief due to pre-existing psychosocial conditions, services at Kara. She is passionate about the capacity for human resilience and brings a unique constellation of professional experience which benefits our agency.
Beth Walton, MFT
Clinical Supervisor Collaborative Counseling Program
Beth Walton is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 16 years of experience working with youth. She holds a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State and a B.A. in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley. Beth has extensive experience working with at-risk youth and has held positions as therapist, clinical social worker, group care counselor, and research assistant. She is currently the Clinical Supervisor for the Collaborative Counseling Program.
Tracy White
Development Director
Tracy joined the staff of the Cleo Eulau Center in July, 2009 and brings with her 9 years of fundraising experience. Tracy earned her Bachelors’ degree from Louisiana State University with an emphasis in Mass Communications, English Creative Writing and Sociology. Tracy’s professional experience in the non-profit sector started in 2002 where she worked as both a volunteer coordinator and development associate for a domestic violence agency. Over the years she has worked as the Development Manager and Interim Development Director at Achievekids, a school for students with developmental disabilities, and as Individual Giving Manager at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga. Her primary areas of interest as a fundraiser include both institutional giving and major gift fundraising. Tracy has additional experience as a freelance writer/designer and other marketing positions.
